Last month we had the pleasure of renting a house on Lake Skatutakee in Harrisville, New Hampshire. I've been there many times but this summer was the first time I came across a fabulous antique co-op nearby. It was one of those places that I could've poked around for an eternity. Every nook and cranny was packed with goodness. It was in the very back room that I spied an old dusty box filled with vintage tea towels. Around the corner was a section with old curtains and miscellaneous linens. I left that store with two tea towels and one linen curtain panel, complete with tabs for hanging.
And since I have such a love affair with aprons, I knew just what I would do with my treasures.
The tea towel on the short apron comes from Leicestershire, England and features a colorful map of Leicestershire, Rutland, and Nottinghamshire.
I utilized everything with these aprons, including using the curtain ties for the apron ties and pieces of the curtain panel for linings. I love the images on these towels. The tea towel on the long apron comes from Wales and features all sorts of numbers and words in Welsh. Both tea towels and the curtain panel are all cotton which makes them soft and comfy. Both aprons are for sale in my Etsy shop.
